MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is accused of invading a home wearing a gorilla suit on Sunday afternoon, Mt. Juliet police said.

According to officers, 31-year-old Richard Muzick, of Old Hickory, entered a home in the 1900 block of Dunedin Drive wearing a gorilla costume and frightening a 6-year-old girl.

Someone who lives in the home confronted Muzick in their backyard when they realized he was just inside.

Police said Muzick then ran from the area, but was eventually caught by officers on a nearby street.

Muzick told officers he thought he was at someone else's home and was looking for another person. He was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary.
