Man charged with murder after allegedly giving woman drugs that led to her overdose death

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — 31-year-old Christopher Floyd has been charged for murder because of a drug overdose that led to the death of 33-year-old Sara Roberts.

According to Metro Police, Roberts died at her E. Thompson Lane home on December 23, 2017 due to acute drug toxicity from heroin, fentanyl, and alcohol.

Narcotics detectives investigated the case for months before ultimately arresting Floyd today, after alleging that he is the one to have provided the heroin and fentanyl to Roberts.

Floyd was taken into custoday without incident at his home on Batavia Street. His bond is $100,000.
