CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man accused in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Clarksville city worker in September has now been charged with criminally negligent homicide.

Clarksville police said 63-year-old Jeffrey Dunn was driving the tractor-trailer on September 3, 2019, that hit and killed 34-year-old Jeffrey Prosecky.

Prosecky was a Street Department employee who was on-duty working at Riverside Drive and College Street when he was hit. He died at the scene of the crash.

Dunn was indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury this month and released from jail on a $25,000 bond.

Police said at the time of the crash Dunn did not stop. The tractor-trailer suspected of being involved in the crash was later found in Beechmont, Kentucky.

On June 30, family members and coworkers of Prosecky, city leaders and members of the Tennessee General Assembly gathered at the corner of Riverside Drive and College Street to unveil a plaque in his honor.
