Metro Nashville Police officers arrested a man in connection to a robbery of the a Nashville Walmart Neighborhood Market.
It happened on Tuesday at the Nippers Corner Walmart on Edmondson Pike.
According to officers, 52-year-old Jerry Wallace approached the customer service counter with a soft drink and tried to pay for it with a $5 bill.
Yet, police said when the clerk opened the cash drawer to give change, the Wallace passed him a threatening note demanding cash.
He then provided the clerk with a blue cloth bag and directed that money be placed in it. Money in hand, he drove away in a small black four-door sedan.
Evidence related to the robbery was recovered from Wallace’s car. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
