The Elliston Place Soda Shop celebrated a big day after being chosen to host the launch of a new book of Forever stamps.
NewsChannel 5’s meteorologist Lelan Statom emceed the event Thursday to unveil the Soda Fountain Favorites collection.
The booklet featured five different stamps: a double-scoop ice cream cone, an egg cream, a banana split, a root beer float, and a hot fudge sundae.
Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamps, and artist Nancy Stahl brought them to life.
The booklet contained four of each stamp, and jokingly, the Postal Service said the stamps may look delicious, but they won't taste like the real thing.
The stamps will be available as early as Friday at local post offices.
