A fiery crash involving a wrong-way driver has caused a significant delay on Interstate 40 East in Hickman County.
The incident was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday at mile marker 159 between State Route 230 and Highway 48.
Details of the crash were unclear at this time, but troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said one of the drivers was traveling the wrong way on the interstate.
Two tractor trailers and two passenger vehicles were involved in the crash.
Eastbound lanes were blocked for several hours by the wreck. Traffic was diverted to alternate routes.
One of the trucks was hauling food products which have scattered along the roadway.
Three people were taken to an area hospital.
