A wanted man has been placed behind bars after an extensive search that involved multiple law enforcement agencies.

Mario Stitt, age 50, was taken into custody. He was facing multiple charges.

Just before 9 a.m. Saturday, an officer tried to pull him over for speeding on Interstate 65 North around mile marker 102, but he didn't stop.

After a high speed chase, Stitt crashed on the exit ramp for Exit 104/Millersville and took off on foot.

Officials with the Millersville Police Department caught up with him just after 11 a.m. and took him into custody.

Those with the White House Police Department, Sumner County Sheriff’s Office, Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol also helped with the search.

Stitt had warrants out of Sumner County for violation of probation, domestic assault, and schedule VI violations. He was also driving on a revoked license.
