Convicted rapist Brandon Vandenburg appeared in court for a motion hearing one final time before his sentencing date.

Vandenburg was in court for a very short time beginning around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

His attorney, Troy Bowlin, requested to be removed as an attorney for the case. The other attorneys representing Vandenburg, as well as Vandenburg himself, supported the move, and the judge passed the motion.

Back in June, Vandenburg was found guilty of five counts of aggravated rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, and one count of unlawful photography.

He faces up to 25 years in prison. His sentencing has been set for September 30.
