A Franklin teen living with Cystic Fibrosis received a bedroom makeover thanks to the Ladies of the Nashville Predators and Special Spaces.
Gytis Synder, age 14, was born in Lithuania. The Synder Family adopted him when he was 5 years old.
The Predators Foundation met Gytis during a Make-A-Wish event when he organized a toy drive to send toys back to his orphanage in Lithuania.
Members of the group said they have seen how much of a big heart Gytis has, and they wanted to do something special for him.
They spent all day Sunday creating a camp-themed bedroom. They added a new closet, dresser, curtains and bed-like tent.
"He's amazing. I'm hoping that he loves it, and I hope that he just looks at it and doesn't want to leave. These children that are ill, this is their haven, this is where they can go in and be kids. That's why we love to do it," Special Spaces director and Assistant Head Coach's wife Rhonda McCarthy said.
Money was raised during a fundraiser. The Predators Foundation has revamped about seven rooms in the last two years.
