Answers Still Sought In Death Of Bobby Smelcer

Posted

A Mid-State family has still been searching for clues in the disappearance and death of a man who has been gone for five years.

While the Shelbyville friends and family of Bobby Smelcer said they have tried to move on with their lives, the fact that they don't know how he died has always stayed with them.

After Smelcer's disappearance back in November 2010, authorities deemed it suspicious, and his skull was found washed up in the Duck River early the next year.

Now Smelcer's family has been wanting answers about what happened and where his body is.

“My daddy, we had a memorial for him, but we don't have him, we have no resting place for him,” said Jennifer Vest, Smelcer’s daughter.

The family says in the next week or two, they plan on conducting a search of the area with cadaver dogs.
