A woman has been arrested after allegedly pulling a knife on a family during a road rage incident.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Alexis Howard approached a mother and her children after they were involved in a crash on 16th Avenue at Buchanan Street.
The victim told police that Howard got out of her car with a knife and told her she’d better have insurance.
With her children in the car, the victim made a frantic call to 911 and police took over the situation.
Witnesses reported hearing Howard yelling expletives and screaming while waving the knife towards the driver's window.
Officers arrived on the scene and arrested her for aggravated assault. They said she was also driving on a suspended license.
