Metro Nashville Police officers were called to south Nashville overnight to investigate back-to-back robberies.

Officials said the suspect first went to a Mapco on Nolensville Pike just after 11 p.m. Thursday.

The clerk was asked to open the register, but refused and was struck in the head. The employee suffered a laceration and was transported to Southern Hills with non-life threatening injuries

The suspect was unable to get away with anything and was reported as a female who was wearing a mask.

Within an hour, police said they believe the same suspect targeted the market at the Phillips 66 in on Thompson Lane.

The suspect there was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with orange accents.

Police said she had on an orange mask or bandana to hide her face. The clerk described the suspect to police as being about 6-feet tall.

The suspect fled the scene in a black four-door sedan, according to a police captain.

An attempted armed robbery occurred Thursday at a nearby M Mart. It’s unclear if that incident is related to the others.
