Eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 have reopened following an early morning crash involving a tractor trailer.

The incident was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday at mile marker 211.

The semi was apparently traveling too fast when it overturned while negotiating a curve. From there, it traveled down an embankment.

The driver sustained minor injuries. No other cars were involved.

Crews worked throughout the morning to remove the tractor trailer from the roadway. Eastbound lanes finally reopened around 6 a.m.

Just last week, another tractor trailer overturned in the same area.
