A crash involving an overturned semi blocked all eastbound lanes of Interstate 24 in Rutherford County for nearly 5 hours Monday.
The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. Monday, at mile marker 76 near Medical Center Parkway.
It’s not yet known what caused the tractor trailer to overturn.
Eastbound traffic has been closed as a result of the wreck. Westbound traffic was not affected.
Drivers heading eastbound are being diverted to an alternate route.
The scene was cleared around 5:30 p.m.
Information on possible injuries was not available.
