Officials with the Murfreesboro Police Department said they're searching for a woman who’s believed to be the victim of an abduction and possible murder.

On Thursday, authorities said 33-year-old Francisca Gomez-Cordero had been reported missing from her apartment in the 1600 block of Cypress Drive.

Reports stated she has owned a red 2008 Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tag 3B57H2.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 47-year-old Romolo Hernandez-Mayo, also known as Romulo Hernandez-Mayorga.

According to reports, Hernandez-Mayo has been wanted on a nationwide extradition warrant for theft of the victim’s vehicle. He’s also wanted for questioning about the victim’s disappearance.

Neighbors said blood was found in a room, and authorities confirmed that, adding it was obvious someone was assaulted. They said it could be murder, but they have not found a body.

Gomez-Cordero has a 6-year-old child. Officials said the child has been placed with family after being picked up by the Department of Children's Services.

Both the victim and suspect were Mexican nationals, and it's believed the suspect may be headed to Mexico.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact the Murfreesboro Police Department immediately at 615-893-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 615-893-7867.
