Man Jailed Again After Escaping Custody

Posted

A convicted drug dealer who escaped custody in Nashville around Christmas has been placed back behind bars.

As of Wednesday morning, officials with Metro Nashville Police finally have the suspect, identified as James Cogbill, back in custody.

Cogbill escaped from a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility in late 2015. He was serving time for sale of controlled substances -- which is a felony.

These treatment facilities are typically not high security, and the inmates are expected to in some ways police themselves on the road to recovery.

Cogbill now faces more time behind bars due to the escape.
