One man was arrested and another has been on the run after they were caught in the middle of a crime in Clarksville.
Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a man opened his garage at his home on Wilcox Street before taking his dogs for a walk.
He returned home a short time later and found two men inside his garage. He said the men were rummaging through his truck.
When he confronted them and asked what they were doing, the two men fled on foot.
The resident called 911, and multiple officers responded to the area. When they found both suspects a short distance from the scene of the crime, the two men split up and ran different directions.
Authorities were able to capture 20-year-old Patrick Richard Kraniak, who was wearing a blue latex glove on one hand and had another glove in his pocket.
Officials stated Kraniak also had a metal pipe and marijuana when he was caught.
Kraniak was charged with aggravated burglary, simple possession, evading arrest, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $125,000 bond.
Reports stated Kraniak was already on probation for aggravated burglary.
The investigation remained ongoing as authorities searched for the second suspect.
