A special celebration was held to honor a former Metro Nashville Police Chief.
The department tweeted a photo of Joe Casey celebrating his 90th birthday at the celebration on Sunday.

He was joined by his family and a large crowd of well-wishers at the surprise party.
Casey's 38-year Nashville police career included 16 years as chief.

He became chief in 1973 and remained in that position until he retired in 1989.
