An inmate who escaped from the Van Buren County Jail has been placed back behind bars.
Officials with the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office said 28-year-old Gary Blankenship escaped Saturday morning.
He was found and taken into custody Saturday afternoon.
Additional charges have been pending. Further details on his escape and arrest were not immediately available.
