Drug detectives armed with guns and a warrant took down an accused heroin dealer.
Manchester Police Chief Yogi Yother released photos of the major bust of heroin. The incident happened in an area known more for pills and meth.
The evidence photos showed brown heroin, a less pure form of the drug typically imported to California from China, and it's now made its way to Tennessee.
Drug officers served a warrant at a home on Lincoln Street and confiscated 90 grams of pure heroin valued at close to $20,000.
Authorities said that's the most heroin they've seen in that area.
They also confiscated scales and thousands of dollars in cash from the home.
The accused drug dealer has been identified as Blake Welch.
Officers said they took him into custody, and he admitted to selling the heroin. He was being interrogated about his supplier.
More arrests were imminent, according to officials, and this heroin bust may produce leads for dealers in other Mid-State cities.
