A mulch fire rekindled Monday morning nearly 12 hours after the blaze ignited in an area near Interstate 24.
The incident was reported behind a private residence on Burkitt Road, located not far from the Cane Ridge Community Center.
According to crews on scene, wind was their main obstacle.
Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the blaze covers about 5-acres of land and is about 50-feet deep.
The fire started Sunday on private property but later spread as the wind picked up Monday morning.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for much of the area as a front moves through – some of those gusts could reach 30-50 MPH.
However, rain chances are expected to increase throughout the day.
There are several homes located about a quarter mile away but residents are not being evacuated. Fire crews have been placed around the blaze to keep in contained.
