Butterflies have been helping some Middle Tennessee families cope with the loss of a family member.
More than 600 butterflies were released at Alive Hospice on Saturday to celebrate the memories of loved ones.

Memorial butterfly releases have become a tradition at the non-profit organization that goes back ten years.
The butterflies have symbolized the life cycle, celebration, and joy.
The event was also a fundraiser for Alive Hospice.
