Wyoming Highway Patrol officials said seven Tennessee residents were arrested after troopers found 82 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle.
The Rawlins Times reported court documents said troopers on Monday found five large black garbage bags covered by a blanket in the back of a minivan travelling through Sweetwater County. They were filled with vacuum-sealed bags containing what was later confirmed to be marijuana.
Police charged a 21-year-old and 25-year-old, from Clarksville, and a 25-year-old, from Mount Juliet, with felony possession of marijuana and related charges. They could face up to 25 years in prison.
Two Palmyra 19-year-olds and a 33-year-old and 39-year-old, from Clarksville, were charged with conspiracy to deliver marijuana. They face a maximum of ten years in prison.
