2 Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Knoxville Teen

Two men have been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Knoxville teen Zaevion Dobson.

According to CBS-affiliate WVLT, officials with Knoxville Police made the announcement Thursday morning. Christopher Bassett and Richard Williams have been charged with 1st degree murder in the case.

Dobson was killed in December of 2015 when he was shot while protecting two of his friends from a drive-by shooting.

At the time of the shooting, Dobson was a football player at Fulton High School in Knoxville.

He was honored this year with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs - one of the most prestigious honors in sports. 

WVLT reports that Bassett and Williams were both held on a $1 million bond.
