10th Annual Record Store Day Sees Sales Of Rare Records

Posted

Wet weather didn't stop vinyl lovers from waiting outside to score some limited edition records on the 10th Annual Record Store Day.

Record Store Day has been all about local independent record stores. It was held on Saturday.

Several local stores, including Grimey's and Third Man Records, participated.

Stores were selling rare, exclusive, and limited edition pressings and represses of vinyl albums.

The records sold were only sold to independent stores to encourage people to shop local.

Nashville Mayor Megan Barry even stopped by Grimey's to spin some records. Her set list included songs from Kings of Leon, Prince, and The Milk Carton Kids.

Kenneth Pattengale of The Milk Carton Kids even helped spin records.
