Local college closures, remote-learning

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Colleges in Middle Tennessee are adapting to the inclement weather with Monday closures and alternate learning styles.

Austin Peay State University will close non-essential facilities. Classes will continue remotely.

Lipscomb University will be closed, with staff working remotely. Classes will continue remotely.

Middle Tennessee State University will be closed. Public safety operations and services for on-campus residents will continue. All classes, in-person and remote, are canceled.

Tennessee Tech University will be closed. Classes are canceled. All retail dining locations will be closed tomorrow. The cafeteria will be open with reduced hours, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Travecca Nazarene University offices will be closed, though employees will work remotely. Classes will continue remotely.

Vanderbilt University will continue classes on their normal schedule. Faculty will notify students with any changes to class arrangements. Off-campus staff and students are "strongly encouraged to evaluate road conditions along their commute and to use discretion in choosing whether or not to travel to campus. Personal safety is the first priority."

Welch College in Gallatin will be closed tomorrow.
