NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A local anti-bullying and autism awareness activist has died from a severe head injury due to a fall.

Chris Miller's mother, Crystal, told NewsChannel5 Chris passed away Friday. Chris was 19 years old and will be an organ donor.

Chris created and was known for his character Captain Spectrum after attempting suicide at 12 years old due to being bullied at school for his autism.

Instead of letting his hardships define him, he decided to become an advocate for anti-bullying and autism awareness.

Chris was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's ICU in a medically induced coma since his fall in the first week of February.
