NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Mayor John Cooper's office is hosting a series of listening sessions to discuss Metro’s transportation plan.
The first of the 11 sessions was held in Antioch Thursday night. People who attended took part in an exercise where they had to decide where to spend $20 of play money. Options included sidewalks, bus service and roads.
"Several people said I actually walked up with a $20 bill thinking I knew where I'd put it and then I thought I need a little of that, and a little of that and they went back and started saying I need to think about how I'm going to use the money to vote on my priorities." said Faye Dimassimo.
The mayor's office plans to release a full transit report in September. If you didn't get to tonight's session, there are several more scheduled.
