NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Have you read the Washington Post's "By The Way" travel series, featuring tourist tips in neighborhoods and towns across the country?
It's latest entry, featuring recommendations for must-see destinations in the East Nashville neighborhood has caught many by surprise.
In the article, author Brandon Gee says Nashville has a "growing reputation as a 'Portlandia' of the South," with the area spotted with record shops, neighborhood pubs and "bodegas."

Delete this. But first, no one but ‘Cool Moms’ and wannabe ‘influencers’ would seriously utter the word East Nasty. Also, tell me more about these imaginary bodegas I’ve been unknowingly walking past the last 13 yrs.
