Hundreds Attend Predators Practice

Posted

Hundreds of fans showed up to watch the predators practice at Ford Ice Center Monday.

While some kids waited by the locker room, others analyzed practice from the deck looking over the rink.

Connor Allen, 10,  was sitting on the second floor overlooking the rink.

Connor Allen said, "They're working on their shooting and passing and the goalies are working on their saves and I think it's actually improving."

Forward Eric Nystrom said this was the biggest turn out for practice they've had at the Antioch location.

Nystrom said, "It's a great turn out, obviously it being a holiday there's a lot of youth hockey going on and to the have the opportunity to come out here and skate and have the kids come out to practice, it's always exciting."

Andrew Pates stood on a bench to get a glimpse of practice. He said he just bought tickets for the Allstar game.

Pates said, "We had Martin Luther King day off so what better place to spend it than with the Preds!"

Organizers think about 400 people came out to watch.

Nystrom said, "It obviously makes our energy a little higher too to know the kids are watching us practice."

The predators take on the Blackhawks at home on Tuesday at 7p.m.
