NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Zillow's home-buying service Zillow Offers debuted in Nashville this month. Sellers can now sell their home as-is to Zillow.

In each market where Zillow Offers is available, Zillow works with local agents and brokers on every transaction. Zillow pays a commission to local real estate agents when it buys and sells a home, and agents remain at the center of every Zillow Offers transaction.

The Ashton Real Estate Group will represent Zillow in Nashville. Agents will look at comps in the area and if they choose to make an offer on a house it will be a cash offer.

Gary Ashton, of Ashton Real Estate Group, said when sellers accept they can buy their next house feeling secure.

"You're making essentially a cash offer," said Gary Ashton. "It's not contingent on the sale and close of your current home. So you can go in and make a really strong offer. It's like putting the suitcase full of cash on the table."

Additionally, Zillow Offers lets sellers choose their close date within just a few days or up to 90 days after accepting their offer.

Although Zillow said it is not buying low to sell high, some agents caution to get top dollar in Nashville, you may want to stick to the traditional way.
