NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A problem with a truck carrying a chemical on Foster Avenue off Murfreesboro Road caused the road to be closed for a few hours Saturday afternoon.
According to the Nashville Fire Department the truck was carrying organic peroxide which can be dangerous if not stored at the proper temperature. Officials working the scene were worried about a possible explosion so they had to evacuate everyone within a half-mile radius.
No one was hurt during the clean up process and the evacuation order have since been lifted.
