NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Governor Lee announced his first steps of Tennessee's economy reboot. Restaurants will be able to open at a specific capacity Monday and Retail stores, also on limited capacity, will reopen Wednesday.

The governor didn't provide many details regarding the phases during Thursday's COVID-19 briefing, saying he will hold a special press briefing Friday morning to explain his multi-phased economy reboot.

The reopening applies to 89 counties throughout the state which are allowed to reopen. The reboot excludes Shelby, Madison, Davidson, Hamilton, Knox and Sullivan counties. Their county health departments are expected to plan their own re-open strategies.
