NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has declared a state of emergency amid the winter storms that have hit the state this week.
The governor said the emergency was declared for the purpose of ensuring an uninterrupted supply of heating fuel by allowing maximum transportation flexibility.
His executive order lifts the regulations on limiting the hours of service for the operator of a commercial motor vehicle providing liquid petroleum fuels, propane gas, other heating fuels, utility supplies or utility crews.
It will stay in effect until11:59 p.m. on February 26.
