NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — We are in the middle of October and fall is in full swing for the Mid-State. That also means it’s time to keep a close eye on the forecast for the first freeze in the area.
Climatologically, the average first freeze for Nashville is November 1, while the average first freeze comes earlier for Clarksville (October 25) and Crossville (October 20).
For those who enjoy gardening around the seasons, now is the time to make sure you are prepared for a freeze in the area so that you can protect your plants. Especially since later this week, we have a cold front that could bring freezing conditions to some parts of the mid-state.
