NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Four families have been displaced after a fire broke out on Sunday at the Cayce Homes in East Nashville.

The fire first started around 10:30 a.m. at the complex located at South 8th Street.

It has been reported that no one was injured. This includes three cats which were owned by one of the residents.

Nashville Fire Department officials said the fire spread so quickly because all of the units shared an attic.

Luckily firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the four other units in the same building.

Investigators are currently trying to identify the cause of the fire.
