Former Councilman Loniel Greene Hospitalized

Former Metro Nashville City Councilman Loniel Greene has been placed in the hospital.

It was not clear what he was suffering from, or what hospital he was checked into.

Greene was recently sentenced to two years probation after he was convicted of of coercion of a witness, a class D felony. 

He tried to intimidate a woman who was beaten and raped into not testifying. He was acting on behalf of his cousin, Tavares Buchanan who was found guilty of rape and aggravated assault against the mother of his children.
