FEMA to hire temporary workers for flood relief

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — FEMA is looking to hire Tennesseans as temporary workers to aid in severe storm and flooding cleanup from February and March floods.

Positions are available in the Public Assistance Grant Program for site inspectors.

The positions will be based here in Nashville. FEMA says it will stay in Tennessee to help the state recover for as long as needed.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old and have a valid government identification card, such as a driver's license, passport, Social Security card, birth certificate or U.S Military ID.

Before hiring, candidates will be subject to a complete background investigation.
