The patriarch of The Willis Clan, a country family-based band, has been arrested and charged with child rape.
Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested and charged Toby Nathaniel Willis from Ashland City in connection to the ongoing child rape investigation.
The TBI began the investigation on Aug. 29. Agents learned Willis had a sexual encounter about 12 years ago with an underage female. The investigation into Willis remained active and ongoing.
TBI Agents arrested the 46-year-old in Greenville, Kentucky, where he traveled in an effort to avoid law enforcement, and charged him with one count of Rape of a Child.
Willis was being held in the Muhlenberg County Jail without bond on a Fugitive from Justice warrant.
He would ultimately face extradition to Cheatham County, where once booked, he will be held in the Cheatham County Jail without bond.
