Doctors said an expectant mother was lucky to be alive, after she was shot in the stomach Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to the the 3700 block of Village Trail where they found Natalie Farmer, bleeding from her stomach.

At 6 months along, she was not only afraid for her life, but her unborn son. She was rushed to the hospital, but was released Thursday morning.
Farmer said she had just moved into that neighborhood two weeks ago.
Though she was home recovering, she said she doesn't feel safe there anymore.
"Right now I'm in a lot of pain, suffering over here. I'm scared to go out my door. Don't know if I'm going to get shot again," said Farmer.
Police were still searching for the gunmen.
