Eric Paslay visited a Metro Nashville Elementary School to play a few songs.
Paslay visited Miss Tracey Robert's music class at Dodson Elementary Monday.
He played his new song "Water into Wine" for the class. The kids then returned the favor by playing a few songs for him, including Paslay's own "Angels in this Town."
An activist to keep music in schools, Paslay said it's key to giving kids confidence.
"When someone's in band or in choir or in theater, uh, the whole room, the whole town can stand up and go good job, you did a good job. And that confidence is contagious with anything and that's not being musical that's with being confident in what you do," he said.
To show their appreciation, the Art Club gifted Paslay with a pair of angel wings with their names, his notes, and lyrics.
