Missing Cookeville girls found safe; Endangered Child Alert canceled

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has canceled an Endangered Child Alert after two young girls from Cookeville were found safe.

The TBI said Rayah Smith, 10 months old, and Marlee Smith, 2 years old, were last seen June 8th. They were believed to be with their parents, Haylee and Nicholas Smith.

According to Cookeville Police, a court order was issued to take the children into protective custody, but the couple took off with the kids.

No additional details were immediately released.
