HARTSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An employee at Trousdale Turner Correctional Facility in Hartsville was assaulted by an inmate Friday Night, a CoreCivic representative said.
The assault happened around 6 p.m. The employee was transported to an outside hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.
The inmate who is suspected in the assault has been isolated from prison population and turned over to Tennessee Department of Corrections (TDOC) custody.
Trousdale Turner Correctional Facility is on lockdown status following the assault. TDOC is investigating the incident.
