Electrolux closes Springfield factory for cleaning after employee tests positive for COVID-19

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Electrolux has temporarily closed its Springfield factory after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The company said in a statement it learned the employee had a confirmed cases on Thursday and immediately closed its Springfield location.

Normal operations at the factory will resume on Sunday once a professional cleaning crew sanitizes and disinfects the building.

Elextrolux said the company has added extra safety precautions like taking employees' temperatures, adding protective barriers, increasing janitorial cleaning, sanitizing high-traffic and high-touch common areas, practicing social distancing and wearing face masks.
