U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn and a company of state lawmakers traveled across Tennessee Monday, in a final effort to reach voters a day before the midterm election.
Blackburn started her trek at 8 a.m. in Kingsport. She then had appointments in Maryville, Cookeville and Smyrna.
Blackburn is favored to win the Senate seat ahead of challenger Phil Bredesen. However, some polls have the race very close.
A new poll from East Tennessee State University indicates that the race could come down to the wire, with both candidates at 44 percent.
