Students at the Nashville Classical Charter School learn how to write an article and conduct an interview in Journalism Club.
The school is K-4 and encourages students from an early age to aspire to go to college.
Students were recently given an assignment to interview and do a story on one of four topics. One of those, was the visit of Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, who was there to honor the students for their successful reading campaign.
After learning the who, what , when, where and why of an interview, the students had the chance to listen to Mayor Barry. Unfortunately, they couldn't interview her, because she had to leave early.
However, the students did interview a Metro Council member and a Metro Nashville Public School board member and gave their reflections on what they learned.
