NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Homeschool students kicked off a new school year at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens' "Homeschool Day."
Each year, the popular gardens, welcomes families of homeschooled children, to stop by and take part in activities.
This year, the theme was Storybook Houses which included life-sized versions of Peter Rabbit's House, and Charlotte's Web for students to visit.
Students could also create a garden on paper, be read to by storytellers and explore the property.
Parents say it gives their children not only the chance to learn something new, but also to make new friends, who are also homeschooled.
