School Patrol: Granbery Elementary Artwork

Posted
and last updated

If you're an avid reader at Granbery Elementary School, you could be rewarded with your own artwork.

The Library is the place to be at Granbery, where students are encouraged to read books and every
book has a set of points assigned to it.

Once that book has been read, the points are added up, and if they total 175 or more, the student gets
to select a brick on the school wall, to have it decorated to their specifications.

Two of the school's parents are professional artists and have done most of the artwork, but in some
instances, parents have taken a paint brush to the bricks.

Every day students walk by the walls, they are inspired to read even more - knowing that a new
piece of art awaits them.
