Many people have seen the new scramble crosswalk in downtown Nashville, and now, members of “Stop! Take Notice” at Hume Fogg High School want the public to do just that.

The group teamed up with "Walk Bike Nashville" Saturday to demonstrate the proper use of the new crosswalks and promote overall pedestrian safety, a topic close to the student's hearts.

"A year and a half ago, one of our classmates passed away because she got hit by a car, and so all of us are really passionate about this subject and making pedestrians be able to be safe," said Gracie Ellis, a junior at Hume Fogg High School.

Students also created artwork on the streets to help promote safe walking.
