Drugs may be to blame for a head-on crash in Warren County, Kentucky that injured two people.

According to deputies with the Warren County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened in the 200 block of Leayou Road just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Alvaton.

When emergency crews arrived, they found two cars on the shoulder of the road, and a woman was lying on the ground injured. She was later identified as 40-year-old Bathsheba Burke.

It’s believed Burke crossed the middle of the road and hit the second vehicle, driven by 49-year-old James Craft, head-on.

Burke reportedly had meth and possibly other narcotics with her.

Burke was flown to a hospital in Tennessee, while Craft was treated at the scene. The investigation remained ongoing.
